Architects: Elisa Ossino Studio

Ph: Margherita Bonetti, Andrea Breda

On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, sees the return of the yearly event curated by Elle Decor Italia in the historical Palazzo Bovara, which this year is entitled, Material Home, an immersive and sensorial journey leading visitors through rooms that investigate matter in all its forms: a tactile, perceptual and olfactory experience of matter in space, in which light plays a fundamental role in highlighting the beauty and complexity of matter, amplifying its nuances and characteristics.

The project is carried out in collaboration with  Elisa Ossino Studio, Interior and Exhibition Design, Rossi Bianchi Lighting Design, Lighting Design, e Studio Antonio Perazzi, Landscape Design.
A journey leading to a series of possible interpretations of materials in interiors.

Material Home’s journey comprises seven different spaces in a succession of just as many themes, preceded by a vast area devoted to the materials library, the  Alchemy  room. An experiential place priming visitors to explore the spaces to follow, named according to the type and quality of the material showcased in the space: Powder, Surfaces, Marble in Movies, Reflections, Soft, Organic and Hues.

To strengthen the Material Home installation, the partnership with Material Bank, with the installation in the Alchimia room, which contributes to enriching the experience of visiting and learning more about materials, in a virtuous relationship between content and service.

Slalom enters Elle Decor’s spectacular installation, bringing the essence of its Acoustethics philosophy to Palazzo Bovara: acoustics, ethics and aesthetics come together in a new custom-made product, to be discovered and touched in the soft exhibition area.

Slalom upholsters the bedroom with Tailor made in its RAW version: a sound-absorbing wall made of 100% raw English Texel wool. A sensorial experience comes to life in the sleeping area, transforming it into a refuge of softness and quiet, in harmony with the exhibition’s theme, Material Home.

The installation at Palazzo Bovara hopes to leave a sensorial imprint on visitors, involving them on both a material and acoustic level; the panel’s texture aims to trigger a reflection on the intrinsic link between living space and elements originating from the millenary relationship between man and nature, evoking the ritual of sheepshearing, or the feeling of gratitude towards the animal world.
